In his speech, he spoke on “Value
Engineering”, Mr. Ari impressed upon the audience that
value engineering is the need of the hour and value can be defined as
benefits divided by cost; more the benefits more the value for the
product, similarly less cost less value. He insisted upon a function-cost-worth analysis
for new products as well as existing products in order to design and
procure only those functions and materials which add value to the
customer. His speech was met with applause from the audience.
