Mr.O.Arivazhagan "Ari" was invited to give a Guest
Lecture on “Project Management in Civil Engineering” at
Sri Manakula Vinayagar Engineering College, Puducherry on 6th
March,2015. He said that Civil Engineers are the
architects of the nation. In order to prove that Civil Engineers
are the "Backbone of the Nation" he named a few
places like Paris, New York, Egypt, to
name a few and asked the students to say the first thing that
pops to their minds.
The students answer ranged from
Eiffel Tower, Times Square and he replied saying that all the
monuments/structures were constructed by Civil Engineers.
He also said that Civil
Engineering is called as the Father of Project Management and he
being a Civil Engineer has a very keen and vested interest in
the domain. He also said that Leader is a person who makes
others perform and every student should strive to become a
leader.
