International Institute of Project Management (IIPM) hosted a Hi-Tea lecture on “Management in Movie Songs(MMS)” on Friday 19t June 2015 by                           Mr. O. Arivazhagan, B.E (Hons), PMP, PMI-RMP, PMI-SP, MBB, PMI-RMP, CEO of "International Institute of Project Management".

The event commenced with an enlightening welcome address by Mr. O. Arivazhagan, B.E (Hons), PMP, PMI-RMP, PMI-SP, MBB, PMI-RMP, CEO, IIPM. This was later followed by Special address from the Chief Guest of the event, Dr. Velan Director,  TRIL INFO PARK.

It was interactive Song-based session by Expert Facilitated by Mr. O. Arivazhagan, CEO, IIPM & Dr. Velan along with Participants from MOP Vaishanav Cillege, Nungambakkam High Road.

Each movie song , especially old song, is a lesson by itself. There are several philosophies and management principles like Delegation, Motivation , Leadership, Empathy, Communication, etc hidden in each old Tamil movie song and people relish those deep thoughts when they hear it in the form of a song. Many see/hear a movie song just as an entertainment, but each song is an invaluable edutainment.

Students were asked to pick songs from the topics and explain the meaning of the songs and correlate the same to the management techniques. Gifts were awarded to the students who gave the best explanation. The event was appreciated & well received by the students.

For Motivation he explained the meaning of song Ovvoru Pookalume from Autograph “Uli Thaangum Karkkal Thaane Man Meedhu Silai Aagum Vali Thaangum Ullam Thaane Nilayaana Sugam Kaanum………………….” “Manitha Un Manathai Keeri Vidhai Podu Maramaagum Avamaanam Padu Tholvi Ellame Uramaagum Tholvi Indri Varalaara Thukkam Enna En Thozha Oru Mudivirundhaal Athil Thelivirundhaal Andha Vaanam Vasamaagum………………………” For Self Esteem he explained the song Unna nenachen paattu padichen from Aboorva Sagodharargal “Kottum mazhaik kaalam uppu vikka ponen Kaatradikkum neram maavu vikkap ponen…….” For Delegation he explained about Aezhu svarangalukkul eththanai paadal from Apoorva Raagangal enakkaaga nee azhudhaal iyarkaiyil nadakkum nee enakkaaga unavu unna eppadi nadakkum namakkenru bhoomiyilae kadamaigal undu - adhai namakkaaga nam kaiyaal seyvadhu nanru The youth need to be given adequate exposure to these golden treasures in an entertaining manner for lasting impressions and making them change the way they think and act.
