International
Institute of Project Management (IIPM) and Andhra Chamber of
Commerce hosted a Hi-Tea lecture on the topic “How
to Increase Profit Without Increasing Sales”
on Wednesday, 23rd October 2013 at Andhra Chamber, Nandanam. The lecture
was delivered by Mr.O. Arivazhagan, B.E (Hons), PMP, MBB, CEO,
IIPM .
The
focus of the lecture was on the need to think unconventionally and move beyond assumptions. Mr. Ari
drove home the point with an excellent example by solving a seemingly
impossible problem with out of the box thinking.
Mr. Ari's disclosure of statistics on the Cost of Poor Quality(COPQ) took many
by surprise. Across Globe, 25-45% of cost is spent on COPQ and most people
in the industry are not aware that COPQ is the main culprit behind
organizations reduced Profit margins. Mr. Ari explained the classification constituents of COPQ, listed down the
invisible factors which contributed to COPQ This was greatly appreciated
by the audience.
Mr. Ari cleared various doubt in the
mind of the audience regarding practicality of implementation, with
specific focus small and medium sector enterprise by explaining how
recurring
benefits will start to accrue from the sixth month of
implementation.
The conference was well attended and well received by all.
