2) Is there is any test that I have to attend?
Yes. There is an online test at the end of the course
to assess the knowledge gained. (Passing the test is mandatory to
issue the GreenBelt Certificate as it demonstrates the knowledge
gained by the participants through this course.) However, there are
many test related features / tools available in the site for the
candidates to practice to themselves before attempting the final
test. A few such features are as below:
1. The Pass score is set at 60 %.
2. There is a "study mode feature" available to practice as
many times as possible to prepare for the final test exam.
3. This is an open book test where in the participants can
refer to any study materials with them.
4. The exam consists of only 100 questions from all of the
five DMAIC Process areas and the exam duration is 3 hrs.
5. There are no negative marks for wrong answers.
6. The Candidates can take as many tests as needed until
they get the pass score of 60 %.
3) What are PDUs?
PDU stands for Professional Development Unit. After
you become a certified PMP, you need to earn 60 PDUs with in three
years. This course is approved by PMI, USA for awarding 40 PDUs to
PMPs.

4) Is the course certificate provided on completion of the
course or on completion of the project?
After 40 hours of online study we give 40 PDUs
certificate. Passing the Test is mandatory to issue the Six Sigma
GreenBelt certificate. However,
GreenBelt project
completion certificate will be issued only on completion of a
process improvement project. Hence, the road map for the 3
certificates is as below:
40 PDUs certificate: After completion of minimum 40 hours
of Six Sigma education online. Our online study tracking system will
keep a record of all the study hours.
Six Sigma
GreenBelt
Certificate: After passing the final Six Sigma GreenBelt exam /
test.
Six Sigma
GreenBelt Project
Completion Certificate: After completing a Six Sigma GB project.
5) What is the passing score in chapter tests?
In order to get 3 PDUs from each stage chapter test, one has
to pass the chapter test and the pass mark is 70%.
6) How to earn 40 PDUs?
(For PMPs Only)
The participants can earn to 40 PDUs by choosing either of
the following two options.
i) The participant can read and understand the concepts and
register/record a minimum of 40 hours of study to be eligible for
awarding the 40 PDUs. Please note that your study hours will be
tracked by our online study tracking system (OSTS) and the
participants also can track the study hours by clicking on the
access details.
The participants should send the feedback about the course
structure, online support and the overall effectiveness of the
online study system for further improvement as a step towards
continuous improvement of the courses offered by IIPM. After
checking 40 hours of study and receiving the feedback IIPM will send
scanned copy of PDU certificate by email to the participants’
preferred email id / or to any postal address within India.
ii) The second option to earn 40 PDUs is a combination of
chapter-wise tests and study hours logged-in. A pass in each chapter
test makes the candidate eligible to earn 3 PDUs. This way a
participant can earn 5 stages * 3 PDUs per stage = 15 PDUs. The
balance 25 PDUs can be earned by studying the material and
logging-in 25 hours of study time which can be verified through
online study tracking system (OSTS).
Please note repeated tests in some stage is not counted,
all 5 stages shall be attempted.
The participants may send the feedback about the course
structure, online support and the overall effectiveness of the
online study system as part of course completion and for further
improvement as a step towards continuous improvement of the courses
offered by IIPM. After checking 40 hours of study and receiving the
feedback IIPM will send scanned copy of PDUs certificate to the
participants’ preferred email id / to any other address within
India.
7) How to earn
GreenBelt
certificate?
To earn the
GreenBelt
certificate, the participant, should log-in minimum 40 hours of
study and pass the final GreenBelt exam, which demonstrates the
knowledge gained as the basis for awarding the certificate.
8) Can I get online support from IIPM for Six Sigma
GreenBelt course?
Yes. Telephone support and Email support is available
for all candidates. Black Belt certified and
GreenBelt
certified and Industry experts will provide clarifications within 7
to 10 business days.
9) Do I need a project to complete the six sigma course?
We strongly recommend that you should take a
real-world project to work on during Six Sigma training. Project
selection, execution and management are a major focus of the
training for
GreenBelt and the
course will be much more useful to you if you are working on a real
time project. However, working on a GreenBelt project simultaneously
is not mandatory. Participants can submit a project after
theoretically certified as GreenBelts with in 3-6 months of
certification.

10) Can I get Six Sigma
GreenBelt sample
project during this course?
Yes. Downloadable sample Project is also
available as part of this course. This is a useful deliverable for
participants.
11) Who evaluates the project?
Black Belt certified and
GreenBelt
/ Industry experts will evaluate the project. IIPM's scope is
limited to only to 2 or 3 reviews of the project contents within 10
to 15 business days of submittal of the project report.
12) Will you provide guidance on how this project should
be executed?
Yes. We provide guidance through telephone and
email and also a sample project will be given for your reference
purpose.
13) How long does it take to complete Six Sigma
GreenBelt course?
1) Class room
GreenBelt course
takes 4 continuous days or 2 weekends.
2)
GreenBelt
course take 3-6 months to complete, including the project period of
three months.
14) How can I know my total hours of study?
On registration, please click the “Access Details”
option from the list of links shown on the left-side of your browser
window. It will display in detail the total hours you have spent in
online study.
15)
Can I take your online Six Sigma course without completing/taking
PMP? Is there any dependency of these two?
Yes and No. If you take Six Sigma course before
becoming PMP, you will get only Six Sigma GreenBelt certificate. No
PDUs will be awarded. If you take 6sigma course after becoming PMP,
you will get both
GreenBelt cert and 40 PDUs cert. PMPs have to earn 60 PDUs in 3
years time to retain PMP status. That is the only difference.
16) Who issues the SSGB certificate?
IIPM issues SSGB certificate for all those
candidates who pass the SSGB exam mostly based on course curriculum
of International standards/bodies such as ASQ® and the exam is based
on the proven testing methods from the DMAIC process areas.
17) How many hours should I study online to earn the 40 PDUs?
According to the Online Study Tracking System (OSTS),
One Hour of structured learning = 1 PDU. Therefore, it requires 40
hours of study to earn 40 PDUs.
18) Sometimes, my study sessions are not counted towards the
total hours of study. What could be the reason?
The OSTS requires that you should properly logout
from the study area after completing your study session. Proper
logout requires you to click on the Logout option from the list of
links shown on the left-side of your browser window. Never close the
windows without proper logout, to end the sessions.
19) What is the meaning of 24X7 access? What is the maximum
inaccessible time expected in a 24X7 service?
Normally, in any online study with international
accessibility for 3 calendar months and considering various
uncontrollable factors (like ISP/local server/shared server/local
ISP/migration to higher platform, etc.) which are NOT in the hands
of service provider (i.e. IIPM), if the inaccessible time is less
than 2 continuous days (48-hrs), it is generally acceptable.
Please contact
sixsigma@iipmchennai.com only in case of 48-hrs of continuous
non availability of access to online resources which may be due to
problems at ISP/local server/shared server/local ISP/migration to
higher platform.
However, any continuous inaccessibility period more than 48-hrs will
be compensated with equivalent days of extension period in the
access time.
20) Can I know is the exact process of getting the "SSGB"
certification after completing the IIPM course on Six Sigma?
Every Participant who attends the training session
sincerely completes the training and passes to test on the final day
of the course, will receive a Six Sigma GreenBelt certificate.
GreenBelt
project completion cert is awarded after you submit a GB project
report as per the sample project given with some demonstrated
improvement in the process chosen.
21) Sometimes, I am logged out of my study session
automatically. What could be the reason?
For security reasons, the Default Session End Time
is set at 30 minutes of inactivity. You are supposed to view a new
page / refresh the current page, at least once in 30 minutes.
Continuous inactivity for 30 minutes will end with an automatic end
of session and the time spent will not be counted towards study
hours.
22) Could you also send me the 40 hours original Certificate
copy to my overseas address?
Yes. We can send it to your overseas address any where
around the world. Original can be sent to any address within
India
free of cost.
23) Please let me know if I have to pay something extra for
the Postage?
Yes, US $20 for
US/Canada/Europe.
24) What’s the
total cost of Six Sigma Online course?
US $ 340 for 3-6 months access license (without 40 PDUs).
US $ 400 for 3-6 months access license (with 40 PDUs).
25) Is there any training material provided other than the
material you make accessible through the web?
No. We give online
access for 3-6 months at very competitive price. Extra materials can

26) What happens if some difficulty is encountered during the
course?
The OSTS requires that you should properly logout

There is a mandatory test needed to be pass in
order to award the
GreenBelt
certificate. The final test is only for academic interest and to
demonstrate your knowledge gain in Six Sigma based on your
performance in the competency based online exam on Six Sigma
principles and practices. However, a simple improvement project
completion applying the knowledge gained will be sufficient to award
GreenBelt project completion certificate.
28) Is it possible to give an e-mail acknowledgement as soon
as you have received the payment?
